Sitim; topónimo al este del Jordán, último campamento de Israel antes de cruzar, y un valle cerca de Jerusalén
שִׁטִּים (literalmente 'las acacias') designa dos lugares en las Escrituras. El principal es el campamento final de Israel en las llanuras de Moab, al este del Jordán, donde el pueblo pecó con mujeres moabitas (Nm 25:1) y desde donde Josué envió espías a Jericó (Jos 2:1; 3:1). Miqueas 6:5 recuerda el trayecto 'desde Sitim hasta Gilgal' como resumen de los actos salvíficos de Dios. Joel 3:18 menciona un 'Valle de Sitim' cerca de Jerusalén, probablemente el Wadi es-Sant.
