Clamor de auxilio o grito de angustia, dirigido a Dios en lamento y surgido de la opresión
Sustantivo femenino que expresa la súplica cruda y angustiada de quien está desesperado, ya sea un individuo en los Salmos o un pueblo entero en cautiverio. El clamor (shav'ah) de Israel asciende desde la esclavitud en Egipto y llega a los oídos de Dios (Ex 2:23). David, huyendo por su vida, declara que su clamor llegó ante Dios y entró en sus oídos (2 S 22:7; Sal 18:6). A lo largo del Salterio, esta palabra aparece en algunas de las súplicas más íntimas de atención divina: 'llegue mi clamor delante de ti' (Sal 102:1), 'no desprecia el clamor de los afligidos' (Sal 34:15). Es el vocabulario del último recurso, la voz de quienes no tienen a quién más acudir.
