Pocas palabras hebreas rivalizan con רוּחַ en amplitud semántica y hondura teológica. Desde el viento concreto que parte el mar Rojo (Éx 14:21) hasta el Espíritu de Dios sobre las aguas primordiales (Gn 1:2), este sustantivo femenino abarca lo físico y lo numinoso.
