Kenath (Qenath), city east of Jordan conquered by Nobah
Kenath was a city in the Transjordan region, east of the Jordan River, conquered by Nobah during the Israelite expansion into the territory of the Amorites. Located on the western slope of the Hauran mountains, it was later renamed after its conqueror (Numbers 32:42). The site is likely identified with modern Qanawat in Syria. It appears in genealogical records as well (1 Chronicles 2:23), connecting it to the tribal allotments of Manasseh.

Sentidos
1. sense 1 The transliterations across languages preserve the Hebrew name with minor variations: English 'Kenath/Qenath,' Spanish 'Kenat/Quenat.' The two biblical references establish its conquest narrative (Numbers 32:42) and its incorporation into tribal territory (1 Chronicles 2:23). As a proper place name, it represents one of the Transjordanian cities claimed by Israelite tribes during the settlement period.
