Torcer, luchar; en Nifal/Hitpael, ser tortuoso, obrar con astucia o perversidad
Verbo que significa torcer, con aplicaciones tanto físicas como morales. La declaración de Raquel «Con luchas de Dios he luchado» (Gn 30:8) emplea el Nifal para expresar un forcejeo personal intenso. En la literatura sapiencial, el participio Nifal describe lo tortuoso o retorcido: los planes del astuto (Job 5:13) y el habla perversa y torcida (Pr 8:8). El Hitpael en los salmos expresa la respuesta recíproca de Dios: «con el torcido te muestras sagaz» (Sal 18:26; 2 Sam 22:27), igualando la perversidad con sabiduría inescrutable.
