1. Pur/Purim (lot, festival of lots) — The Hebrew noun פּוּר (pur) meaning 'lot' (as in casting lots to determine fate), and its plural form פּוּרִים (Purim), the name of the Jewish festival commemorating deliverance in the book of Esther. All four clusters represent inflectional variants of the same lexeme: singular 'Pur' (eng: Pur, spa: Pur, arb: فُورًا, kor: 부르를, swa: Puri) and plural 'Purim' with or without the article (eng: the Purim/Purim, spa: el Purim, hin: पूरीम, arb: الْفُورِيمِ/فُورِيمَ, kor: 부림의/부림이라고, swa: Purimu). The singular-plural and definite-indefinite distinctions are grammatical inflections, not semantic differences. 8×
