Yetur/Jetur, hijo de Ismael y nombre tribal; ancestros de los itureos en la región del Antilíbano
Nombre personal y tribal de uno de los «hijos» de Ismael registrados en Génesis 25:15 y 1 Crónicas 1:31, quien dio nombre a una tribu. En 1 Crónicas 5:19 esta tribu aparece entre los pueblos contra los que guerrearon Rubén, Gad y la media tribu de Manasés. Las fuentes clásicas los identifican con los itureos (griego Ἰτουραῖοι), conocidos por Estrabón y Josefo, quienes habitaban la región del Antilíbano. Lucas 3:1 menciona «la región de Iturea y Traconítide» en tiempos de Jesús, mostrando la perdurable presencia de este pueblo. El nombre podría estar vinculado etimológicamente con la palabra para «campamento» (טִירָה).
