Vinagre o vino agrio — líquido ácido usado como condimento, bebida y en símiles proverbiales.
Sustantivo masculino para vinagre o vino agrio, un condimento común en el antiguo Cercano Oriente. Rut mojó su pan en vinagre en la mesa de Booz (Rt 2:14), mientras que el voto nazareo prohibía expresamente tanto el vinagre de vino como el vinagre de cerveza (Nm 6:3). Proverbios lo emplea memorablemente en símiles: vinagre en los dientes para el efecto irritante del perezoso (Pr 10:26), y vinagre sobre soda para la futilidad de cantar canciones a un corazón afligido (Pr 25:20). El salmista lo recibió en lugar de agua como acto de crueldad (Sal 69:21).
