Deseo, deleite, preciosidad — aquello que es atractivo, agradable o codiciado.
Sustantivo masculino que expresa lo deseable o deleitoso. Aparece siempre tras un sustantivo en estado constructo y funciona como atributo intensificador: «viñas de deleite» (Am 5:11), «campos de deleite» (Is 32:12) y «jóvenes deseables», es decir, hombres atractivos y codiciados (Ez 23:6, 12, 23). «Deleite» y «delicia» captan el placer estético, mientras que «deseo» enfatiza el anhelo. La palabra eleva lo ordinario a la categoría de lo codiciado.
