Sabios, eruditos — término arameo para la clase letrada en la corte babilónica poseedora de conocimiento esotérico.
Un sustantivo arameo (חַכִּים) que aparece exclusivamente en Daniel, designando la clase profesional de sabios o eruditos en las cortes babilónica y persa. Estos חַכִּימִין aparecen junto a magos, encantadores y astrólogos como consejeros de la corte a quienes Nabucodonosor y Belsasar consultan para la interpretación de sueños y la lectura de signos crípticos. Cuando Dios revela el sueño de Nabucodonosor a Daniel, se dice que Dios 'da sabiduría a los sabios' (Daniel 2:21), usando la misma raíz. El inglés y el español rinden el término directamente como 'wise men' y 'sabios'.
