Hendiduras, grietas (de la roca); lugares de ocultamiento
Sustantivo que designa fisuras estrechas o hendiduras en la roca que sirven como escondite. La amada es llamada «paloma mía, en las hendiduras de la peña» (Cnt 2:14), una imagen tierna de intimidad y refugio. Pero la misma imagen se torna ominosa en el juicio profético: Edom, que «mora en las hendiduras de la peña» (Jer 49:16; Abd 3), confía en fortalezas inaccesibles, pero será derribado. Las hendiduras ofrecen seguridad o la ilusión de ella, según quién busque amparo.
