1. hin (unit of liquid measure) A Hebrew unit of liquid measure equal to approximately 6 liters (one-sixth of a bath), used exclusively in cultic and sacrificial regulations for measuring oil, wine, and water offerings (Exod 29:40, 30:24; Lev 19:36, 23:13; Num 15:4-10, 28:5-14; Ezek 4:11, 45:24, 46:5-14). All three clusters are grammatical variants of the same measurement noun (articular, absolute, with conjunction): spa 'el hin/hin/e hin' (the hin/hin/and hin), arb 'الْهِينِ/هِينٌ/وَهُونَ' (the hin/a hin/and a hin), kor '힌/그 힌' (hin/the hin), swa 'hini/hini hiyo/na hini' (hin/that hin/and hin), hin 'हीन/हीन का' (hin/of hin). 22×
