Inquirir, buscar; hacer hervir, hinchar; (Nifal) ser escudrinado, abultarse.
Este raro verbo abarca un sorprendente rango semantico, desde la busqueda intelectual hasta la hinchazon fisica. En Isaias 21:12 aparece dos veces como invitacion a consultar al profeta sobre el destino de Edom. En Isaias 64:2 describe el fuego haciendo hervir el agua. Las formas Nifal aportan matices adicionales: en Abdias 1:6 los tesoros ocultos de Esau son 'escudrinados', mientras que en Isaias 30:13 un muro agrietado se describe 'abultandose' antes de desplomarse. El cognado arameo apoya el sentido de 'buscar/inquirir', y el arabe anade la dimension de 'hinchar/supurar'.

Usado en Isaias 21:12 donde el centinela invita a los consultantes edomitas a volver y preguntar de nuevo.
