Toponimo que significa quizas 'Dios asciende', identificando una aldea en el territorio de Ruben cerca de Hesbon en Transjordania. Aparece primero en el registro de la asignacion tribal (Nm 32:3, 37) y posteriormente en los oraculos profeticos contra Moab (Is 15:4; 16:9; Jer 48:34), donde su devastacion senala el juicio divino. El sitio se identifica con la moderna el-Al, al noreste de Hesbon.
