Porción memorial de la ofrenda de cereal quemada sobre el altar como recordatorio ante YHWH.
Derivado de la raíz z-k-r ('recordar'), este sustantivo femenino designa específicamente el puñado de harina, aceite e incienso tomado de una ofrenda de cereal (minhah) y quemado sobre el altar como 'recordatorio' simbólico ante Dios. Aparece exclusivamente en la legislación sacerdotal (Levítico 2, 5, 6; Números 5), siempre en estrecha relación con ʾishsheh (ofrenda encendida). El término español 'porción memorial' capta la doble noción de una porción que también conmemora: un signo físico que asciende como humo para presentar la devoción del oferente ante el Señor.
