El sustantivo אֲגַף designa bandas u hordas de fuerzas combatientes, empleado exclusivamente en los oráculos de Ezequiel. Es un préstamo del acadio agappu ('ala'), originalmente referido al ala de un ejército, y su uso en Ezequiel siempre describe el séquito militar de reyes e invasores.
