Hecho a mano, manufacturado por esfuerzo humano; a menudo contrastado con la creación divina o espiritual.
Este adjetivo compuesto (de χείρ, «mano», y ποιέω, «hacer») describe cualquier cosa fabricada por la destreza humana. En el Nuevo Testamento casi siempre conlleva una connotación negativa o limitante: Dios no habita en templos hechos a mano (Acts 7:48; 17:24), y Cristo entró en un santuario no hecho por manos humanas (Heb 9:11). Mark 14:58 registra la falsa acusación de que Jesús destruiría el templo hecho a mano y edificaría otro «no hecho de mano». En Eph 2:11, la circuncisión se describe como «hecha en la carne por manos», relativizándola frente a una realidad espiritual mayor.
