Ofrenda o sacrificio presentado a Dios; tanto el acto de ofrecer como lo ofrecido, especialmente el autosacrificio de Cristo.
Designa una ofrenda o sacrificio religioso presentado ante Dios, abarcando tanto el acto de presentar como el don mismo. En Efesios 5:2, Cristo se entregó a sí mismo como 'ofrenda y sacrificio', frase en la que este término acompaña al vocablo más general de sacrificio para subrayar el aspecto voluntario de la entrega. El autor de Hebreos lo emplea repetidamente para contrastar la ofrenda única y definitiva de Cristo con los sacrificios repetidos del antiguo pacto (Heb 10:5, 10, 14, 18). El español 'ofrenda' conserva bien el sentido de un don traído ante la presencia divina.
