1. go around, travel about — The intransitive sense of periago meaning to go around, travel about, or make a circuit through a region. Used of Jesus's itinerant ministry traveling through the cities and villages of Galilee teaching and healing (Matt 4:23; 9:35; Mark 6:6). Also used of the Pharisees traversing sea and land to make a single proselyte (Matt 23:15), and of Elymas the sorcerer going about turning people from the faith (Acts 13:11).
