1. remembrance / mention (calling to mind) — The act of remembering or making mention of someone, typically in prayer. Used in Pauline epistles for prayerful remembrance ('making mention of you in my prayers,' Rom 1:9, Eph 1:16, 1 Thess 1:2, Phil 1:3, Philem 4, 2 Tim 1:3) and for calling someone to mind (1 Thess 3:6). The two clusters overlap completely in translation: both rendered as spa 'mencion/recuerdo,' hin 'smaran/smriti,' arb 'dhikran,' kor 'gieogeul,' swa 'kumbukumbu/ukumbusho.' S72505 (1 occurrence, 'mention') is simply a lower-frequency attestation of the same semantic content found in S72503. No multilingual evidence supports a separate sense. 7×
