Preposicion y adverbio cuyo significado central es 'en el espacio intermedio entre dos puntos'. En la mayoria de los usos neotestamentarios marca una relacion de intermediacion espacial o relacional: entre tu y tu hermano (Mt 18:15), entre Abel y Zacarias (Mt 23:35), o el gran abismo fijado entre el paraiso y el tormento (Lc 16:26). Tambien puede indicar intervalos temporales: en Hch 13:42 senala 'el sabado siguiente' (el que viene en medio), y en Jn 4:31 funciona como adverbio temporal puro con el sentido de 'entre tanto' o 'mientras tanto'.

1. Entre (espacial/relacional) — Indica posicion espacial o separacion relacional entre dos entidades. Se emplea para el espacio entre personas (Mt 18:15, 'entre tu y el'), entre figuras historicas (Mt 23:35, entre Abel y Zacarias), y el abismo infranqueable entre el seno de Abraham y el Hades (Lc 16:26). En Jn 4:31, mientras Jesus conversa con la mujer samaritana, los discipulos le instan 'entre tanto' (en to metaxu) a que coma.
