In Romans 15:23, he declares there is no longer any place for him in 'these regions'—the eastern Mediterranean areas where he had planted churches. 2 Corinthians 11:10 and Galatians 1:21 similarly use it for the regions of Achaia and Syria-Cilicia respectively.
