In the NT, apotheke appears in Jesus' teachings about God's provision (Matt 6:26; Luke 12:24) and in the parable of the rich fool who planned to build bigger barns (Luke 12:18). Multilingual translations converge on a single concept: Spanish 'granero(s),' Hindi 'bhandaar/khatte' (भण्डार/खत्ते), Arabic 'mustawda'/makhazin' (مستودع/مخازن), Korean 'changgo' (창고), and Swahili 'ghala' (used identically for both singular and plural).
