1. human, of mankind Pertaining to or characteristic of human beings as opposed to divine or animal nature, used as an adjective modifying wisdom, judgment, authority, nature, or temptation. All auto-clusters represent inflectional variants (genitive, dative, nominative, accusative; singular and plural) of the same core adjectival meaning. In 1 Cor 2:13, Paul contrasts human wisdom with Spirit-taught wisdom. In 1 Cor 4:3, he treats human judgment (anthropines hemeras, lit. 'human day') as insignificant compared to God's. In 1 Cor 10:13, temptation is described as 'common to man' (anthropinos), i.e. within normal human capacity. In Rom 6:19, Paul says 'I speak in human terms' (anthropinon lego) because of their weakness. In Acts 17:25, God is not served by human hands.
