Kingdom, reign, or royal dominion — the territory or sovereign authority of a king's rule.
This feminine noun is a variant form of the more common mamlakhah, denoting a kingdom, dominion, or reign. Most of its occurrences cluster in Joshua 13, where it describes the kingdoms of the Transjordanian rulers Og and Sihon — territories allocated to Israel's eastern tribes. In 1 Samuel 15:28, Samuel dramatically announces that Yahweh has torn the mamlakhut of Israel from Saul. Hosea 1:4 prophesies that God will bring an end to the kingdom of the house of Israel. Jeremiah 26:1 uses it temporally: 'at the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim.'
