An Aramaic feminine noun found exclusively in Daniel, spanning from spoken utterance to royal decree to the broader sense of a matter or affair. Nebuchadnezzar uses it for his irrevocable command (Dan 2:5, 8), and the 'great words' of the little horn (Dan 7:11, 25) represent blasphemous speech against the Most High. Yet the same word also means simply 'thing' or 'matter,' as when the wise men protest that 'the matter is difficult' (Dan 2:10-11).
