1. Laban (person) — The proper noun Laban (לָבָן II), referring to the Aramean patriarch, son of Bethuel and brother of Rebekah, who lived in Paddan-Aram (Haran). He is primarily known as the father of Leah and Rachel, and the father-in-law of Jacob. All 54 occurrences across Genesis 24-31 refer to this same individual in various grammatical constructions: nominative and accusative (Laban, 50x), with conjunctive waw (and-Laban, 3x), and with preposition beth (with-Laban, 1x). Multilingual translations uniformly render a single referent: spa 'Lavan/a Lavan', hin 'लाबान/लाबान-ने', arb 'لَابَانُ/لَابَانَ', kor '라반이/라반의', swa 'Labani/kwa Labani'.
