A proper noun referring to one and the same individual across all spelling variants (Ketiv/Qere differences) and prepositional prefixes. Jeduthun appears alongside Heman and Asaph as one of the three chief musicians (1 Chr 9:16; 16:38,41-42; 25:1,3,6; 2 Chr 5:12; 29:14; 35:15). Psalm superscriptions 'for/to Jeduthun' indicate a musical direction or dedication (Ps 39:1; 62:1; 77:1). His descendants served in the temple (Neh 11:17).
