Binnui (personal name)
1. Binnui (personal name) The proper name Binnui (Hebrew בִּנּוּי), borne by several post-exilic individuals in Ezra-Nehemiah: a Levite (Neh 12:8), men who had married foreign wives (Ezra 10:30, 38), and a builder of the wall (Neh 3:24). The two sense clusters differ only by the prefixed conjunction waw ('and Binnui') versus the bare name. Uniformly rendered across translations: English 'Binnui/Binnuy', Spanish 'Binui', Hindi बिन्नूई, Arabic بِنُّوي, Korean 빈누이, Swahili 'Binui'. All 7 occurrences are in the post-exilic historical books.
