Lasea, a coastal city in Crete
Lasea was a minor port city on the southern coast of Crete, near Fair Havens. It appears only in Acts 27:8 during Paul's voyage to Rome, where the ship stopped before attempting the dangerous autumn journey westward. Archaeological identification remains uncertain, though the general location near modern Kali Limenes is accepted.

Senses
1. sense 1 Mentioned in Acts 27:8 as a geographical reference point during Paul's perilous sea journey, Lasea marks where the voyage became increasingly dangerous due to approaching winter. The multilingual glosses preserve the name with slight orthographic variations (Lasaia, Lasáia, Lasea), reflecting standard practices for rendering Greek place names otherwise unknown in historical records.
