† יְמָנִי adj. right hand, right—m. of pillar הָעַמּוּד הַיְמָנִי 1 K 7:21 = הַיְמָנִי in ‖ 2 Ch 3:17 Qr (Kt הימיני); f. of side of house (temple): כֶּתֶף הַבַּיִת הַיְמָנִית 1 K 6:8; 7:39 (‖ כֶּתֶף הבית מִיָּמִין), 2 K 11:11 (opp. הַשְּׂמָאלִית), Ez 47:1, cf. v 2; 2 Ch 4:10; 23:10 (opp. הַשְּׂמָאלִית); elsewhere of parts of body (P): right ear, hand and foot [ה]אזן הַימָנִית + יד(ם) הַי׳ + רגל(ם) הַי׳ Ex 29:20; Lv 8:23, 24; 14:14, 17, 25, 28; right finger אֶצְבָּעוֹ הַי׳ 14:16, 27; cf. also right side, m. צִדְּךָ הַיְמָנִי Ez 4:6 Qr (Kt הימיני).

(as from [אמן]) תַּאֲמִינוּ Is 30:21, fig. of turning aside from right course of life (both ‖ השׂמאיל); Inf. cstr. in phr. אִם־אִשׁ לְהֵמִין וּלְהַשְׂמִיל מִכֹּל אֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר אֲדֹנִי הַמֶּלֶךְ 2 S 14:19 it is surely impossible to turn to the right or to the left, etc.; Imv. fs. הֵימִ֫ינִי Ez 21:21 go to the right!
