† גּוּמָּץ n.m. pit (Aramaic loan-wd., cf. גּוּמְצָא, ܓܽܘܡܳܨܳܐ; NH גּוּמָּצָא cf. BaNB 66, Anm. 1), Ec 10:8 חֹפֵר ג׳ בּוֹ יִפּ֑וֹל he that diggeth a pit shall fall into it; so also Pr 26:27 𝔗 𝔖 where ℌ כֹּרֶה שַׁחַת.
