(d) בְּמוֹ ר׳ La 4:6. (e) עֲדֵי רָ֑גַע while a moment lasts Jb 20:5. (f) כִּמְעַט ר׳ like the littleness of a moment = for a little moment Is 26:20; Ezr 9:8. (g) pl. לִרְגָעִים by moments, at every moment, Is 27:3; Ez 26:16 וְהָֽרְדוּ ל׳ (so 32:10), Jb 7:18 (‖ לִבְקָרִים).
† I. רָגַע vb. disturb (NH Hiph. move to and fro; perhaps transp. from Arabic رَعَجَ disturb, BAES 8);— Qal Pf. Jb 26:12 בְּכֹחוֹ רָגַע הַיָּם; Pt. cstr. (Ges 65d. 116 g, x), Je 31:35 = Is 51:15 רֹגַע הַיָּם וַיֶּהֱמוּ גַלָּיו. Hiph. denom. from רֶגַע make a twinkling, only 1 s. Impf. cohort. וְעַד אַרְגִּ֫יעָה לְשׁוֹן שָׁ֑קֶר and while I would twinkle (= only for a moment: cf. Jb 20:5) is the false tongue (opp. תִּכּוֹן לָעַד), Pr 12:19 (cf. De); and כִּי אַרְגִּ֫יעָה אֲרִיצֶנּוּ מֵעָלֶיהָ I will twinkle and (= I will in a moment, Ges§ 120 g; cf. Hi) chase them away from it, Je 49:19 = 50:44.
