† II. [חָנַן] be loathsome (cf. Arabic خَنَّ x. foetorem emisit (puteus); Syriac ܚܰܢܻܝܢܳܐ rancid);—Qal pf. וְחַנֹּתִ֫י לִבְנֵי בִטְנִי Jb 19:17 and I am loathsome to the sons of my womb (‖ זָרָה v. ii. זור), so RVm Ew De Di al. (On the tone v. De.)
