Ρηχαβ: a. in יְהוֹנָדָב בֶּן־ר׳ (Jehu’s time, v. יְהו׳) 2 K 10:15, 23, whose descendants [or, the members of whose society, RSK 15, yet v NöZMG xl (1886), 171] were contemp. with Jerem., Je 35:6, 8, 14, 16, 19; 1 Ch 2:55 הַקִּינִים (v. קֵינִי) are said to be descended from Ḥammath, אֲבִי בֵית־רֵכָב.—On the asceticism of diff. tribes cf.
