homeland, fatherland, hometown
1. homeland, fatherland, hometown The place of one's origin, birth, or ancestral connection; used in the Gospels primarily of Jesus' hometown (Nazareth) where he is rejected as a prophet, and in Hebrews 11:14 of the heavenly homeland the patriarchs sought. Multilingual evidence is unanimous across both clusters: spa 'patria,' hin 'स्वदेश/वतन' (svadeś/vatan), arb 'وَطَن' (waṭan), kor '고향/조국' (gohyang/joguk — hometown vs fatherland, both denoting place of origin), swa 'nchi ya kuzaliwa/nchi ya asili' (birthplace/land of origin). The single occurrence in S74309 (Heb 11:14) uses the same accusative form as S74307 with no semantic divergence.
