1. crowd, multitude, throng — The noun ochlos denoting a gathering of people, whether a specific crowd following Jesus, a general multitude, or the populace at large. All four auto-clusters represent identical semantics with no distinguishing translation signatures: English 'crowd(s)/multitude(s)', Spanish 'multitud(es)/muchedumbre', French 'foule', German 'Volksmenge/Menge', Arabic 'jumu/jam', Hebrew 'hamonim/hamon', Hindi 'bhiRen/bhiR', Korean 'murideul/gunjung'. The split was driven entirely by minor morphological and inflectional variation (nominative plural ochloi vs. accusative singular ochlon vs. genitive singular ochlou vs. accusative plural ochlous) and slight translation variance between 'Volksmenge' and 'Menge' in German. Sense 73663 from Rev 19:1,6 ('of a multitude') is the same word in the genitive -- not a different meaning. Sense 73664 (Matt 21:46) is simply another accusative plural 'crowds' identical to the main cluster. In NT usage ochlos appears prominently for the crowds that follow Jesus in the Gospels (Matt 4:25, 5:1, 7:28), the Jerusalem mob scenes in Acts, and the heavenly multitude in Revelation 19.
