Mk 16:2, 9; Lk 18:12; Mt 28:1, cf. J.Aram. usage); poss. שַׁבָּת Is 66:23 = week (Du). 5. שַׁבַּת הָאָ֫רֶץ Lv 25:6 (H) = produce in sabbath year (growing of itself).

Σάββᾰτ-ον, τό, the Hebrew Refs (δηλοῖ δὲ ἀνάπαυσιν.. τὸ ὄνομα NT+1st c.AD+: frequently in plural of the single day, NT+3rd c.BC+; ἡ ἡμέρα τῶν σ.
