† אָסוֹן n.m. mischief, evil, harm; always abs. without art. Gn 42:4, 38 (as subj. of קרא), 44:29 (קרה), Ex 21:22, 23 (היה).

† הֹוָה n.f. ruin, disaster (cf. sub הַוָּה) Ez 7:26(×2) הֹוָה עַל הֹוָה תָבוֹא disaster shall come upon disaster, Is 47:11 וְתִפֹּל עָלַיִךְ הֹוָה disaster shall fall upon thee (‖ רָעָה, שֹׁאָה).

† חֲבָל n.m. Dn 6:24 hurt, injury;—abs. ח׳ Dn 3:25; 6:24, cf. RÉS 362 A 2; emph. חֲבָלָא Ezr 4:22.

† נֶ֫כֶר [נֹ֫כֶר] n.[m.] misfortune, calamity;—abs. נֶכֶר Jb 31:3 calamity (‖ אֵיד); sf. נָכְרוֹ Ob 12 his calamity.

† חֲבוּלָא n.f. hurtful act, crime;—abs. ח׳ Dn 6:23.

† [קְפָדָה] n.[f., AlbrZAW xvi (1896), 116 cf. Sta§ 308a] shuddering (cf. ܩܦܰܕ, of skin, = סָמַר ψ 119:20, v. Thes);—abs. קְפָ֫דָה־בָא Ez 7:25 (read בָּאָה Co Krae, and on tone v. Ges§ 29 e).
