Co and—dub.—Da). 2. hook, ring as ornament, perhaps nose-ring (others brooch, see VB), Ex 35:22 (P; ‖ נֶזֶם, טַבַּעַת, כּוּמָז).

† אֶצְעָדָה n.f. id.;—abs. א׳ Nu 31:50 (+ צָמִיד bracelet); א׳ אֲשֶׁר עַל־זְרֹעוֹ 2 S 1:10 (read הַצְּעָדָה We Dr Bu HPS, cf. 2 K 11:12 supr.).

† [נְטִיפָה?] n.[f.] drop, i.e. pendant, an ornament (or pearl = Arabic نَطَفَةٌ, from likeness to drop of water; cf. GFM);—only pl. abs. נְטִפוֹת Ju 8:26, נְטִיפוֹת Is 3:19.

† [עֶ֫כֶס] n.[m.] anklet, bangle;—pl. abs. הָעֲכָסִים Is 3:18 bangles, anklets (as ornaments); for sg. abs. ע׳ Pr 7:22 read עֵגֶל Toy.

† [חֶלְיָה] n.f. jewelry, נִזְמָהּ וְחֶלְיָתָהּ Ho 2:15 (v. Now Che).

† [עָכַס] vb. denom. Pi. shake bangles, rattle, tinkle;—Impf. 3 fpl. וּבְרַגְלֵיהֶם תְּעַכַּסְנָה Is 3:16 and with their feet they rattle their bangles.

† II. [צְעָדָה] n.f. armlet, band clasping upper arm (so SS al.; most step-chain, from I. צעד);—pl. הַצְּעָדוֹת Is 3:20 (ladies’ finery); read הַצּ׳ also 2 K 11:12 (for MT הָעֵדוּת) WeBl. Einl. 4, 258 = Comp. (2), 361 Kmp SS Kit Benz.

† [שֵׁרָה] n.[f.] bracelet (Aramaic שֵׁירָא id., ܫܺܐܪܳܐ chain, Gn 24:22 𝔖 𝔗: Arabic سِوَارٌ bracelet, Qor 18:30 [Frä 56] is said by Lane 1465 to be from the Persian, and, if Sem., would be from √ سور );—pl. abs. הַשֵּׁרוֹת Is 3:19 (in list of finery).
